في قصائد هذا الديوان عبرة القصيدة في زمننا. شاعر رأى العالم وأنصت إليه في أحواله المفجعة, راحلاً في أطراف المدينة وبين يديه قصيدته التي لا تكتمل أبداً.. في الطرق المؤدية إلى الرؤية أو الإنصات, يكون الجسد مهيأ للكتابة, كتابة النشيد. كذلك أعطت قصيدته للزمن الذي عاشه بين عهدين اجتماعيين, في ألمانيا الشرقية بكل ما كان لها من كذب وفي ألمانيا الموحدة التي هي صورة مكبرة لعالم اليوم. وفي كلتا الحالتين, في أقصى الطرفين, تأخذ القصيدة في اقتفاء الحواس. حواس جسد مخصوص هو جسد فولكر براون. من هنا تكون الكتابة حرة في الإنتقال بين الأشكال الشعرية ومن هنا كذلك صوت انساني عميق نرحل معه ونحن شيئا فشيئاً نهتدي بأبيات النشيد وفي جسدنا شيء من أناشيد فولكر براون وهي تأخذ في التكوين كلما اعتقدنا أننا انتهينا من القراءة.
وبين تجربة شاعر ألماني له مكانته الكبرى في المشهد الشعري الألماني اليوم وبين ترجمة تجرأت على التآلف مع هذه التجربة نكون قريبين من عمل شعري يقدم للقارئ المعتمد الصمت وحرية المتخيل متعة الرحيل مع شاعر جوال من زمن إلى زمن في عصرنا وفي عالم لا يعبأ بما يكتب الشاعر ما يحييه النشيد من جديد فينا وفي كلماتنا.
