تتسلط بنية الغياب على المشهد الشعري للشاعر المصري شريف الشافعي وتنسل في كل اضمامة صور تتجمع لتكون بنى متقدمة عبر لغة شعرية تحفر عميقاً في داخل نص "كأنه قمري يحاصرني" ولتفكك رموزه وإشاراته، والتي تحيل إلى أكثر من مشهد في هذا العالم الواسع، فالعالم كله في تجربة الشاعر الشافعي الشعرية هذه، يمرّ في مرحلة خلخلة انتقالية، يسير على غير هدىً، فلا يقين ولا مطلق، بل هناك إنسان، وشعوب بأكملها، بحكامها، ومحكوميها، في مفترق طرق، يُبدد خطواتها الضباب، وينتابها اغتراب بعد اغتراب: "الغريب، الذي يعبر الطريق، ليس بحاجةٍ إلى عصا بيضاء، ولا كلبٍ مُدرَّب، هو بحاجةٍ، إلى أن تصير للطريق عيونٌ، تتسع لغرباء".
بدورها الأرض والشمس والقمر، تحاصر الإنسان. في لعبة الكسوف والخسوف وهنا يستوي البياض والسواد، فالأبيض الباهر والأسود المطلق، كلاهما يحتلان الرؤية: الأرض للشمس: "متى ينقضي كسوفك؟" الأرضُ للقمر: من أنت؟ متى تخلق قناعك؟" الشمس والقمر للأرض: "تساؤلاتك فصوصُ العتمة"، وهكذا تتسع دائرة التساؤلات في النص المفتوح على لحظة الحيرة التي يكابدها الشاعر، ويعيشها عالم لم يعد فيه معنى للمستقر أو الثابت، فيختار الصعود إلى الأعلى "بحثاً عن مطر أنقى، عن قطرةٍ عذراء، أتجاوز السحاب الهش، صاعداً، إلى حيث الماء فكرة في السماء". وهذا أجمل ما يتمناه الشاعر والإنسان عموماً، ومن هنا نلمح سعي الشاعر تطبيق جمالية شكلية وذهنية على متن نصه الشعري، وقد أبدع في ذلك إيما إبداع...
والديوان "كأنه قمري يحاصرني" نص واحد طويل ومكثف، مكون من ثلاثون مقطعاً شعرياً، وقد زُيِّن الغلاف، لوحة للتشكيلية سوسان بوبيدا سولورسانو، وهي فنانة من (كوستاريكا).
