هذا البحث يتناول مسألة هي في غاية الأهمية، وهي ترابط العلاقة المتينة بين القرآن الكريم والسنّة، وبيان أن هذه السنة لها منزلة ومكانة ووظيفة تجاه القرآن الكريم، فالقرآن الكريم والسنّة متلازمان.
والقرآن الكريم كتاب الله تعالى المنزل على رسوله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم الذي بلغه للناس، والسنّة هي هدي الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم الذي لا ينطق عن الهوى إن هو إلا وحي يوحى، جاءت هذه السنّة لتقوم بوظيفة أرادها الله عزّ وجلّ، وهي تفسير معاني القرآن الكريم وتوضيح مبانيه، وتفصيل ما أجمل فيه، وتخصيص عامه، وتقييد مطلقه، وغير ذلك.
فالقرآن الكريم والسنّة لا ينفصلان عن بعضهما، لأنهما وحيان سماويان متلازمان، وهما روح هذه الأمة.
وإن علم التفسير يُعَدُّ من أَجَلِّ العلوم وأرفعها قدراً، ولست في حاجة إلى بيان مكانة هذا العلم من بين علوم الشريعة، فقد كثر الحديث عنه، وهو أشهر من أن يشاد به في الكلمات، وقد عرف أسلافنا قدره، وأدركوا أهميته منذ فجر الإسلام، فأقبلوا على تدارسه وتدريسه، وتعلمه وتعليمه، وتوضيح معالمه، وتقعيد قواعده.
ولما تحددت معالم هذا الفن أُلِّفَت فيه مؤلفات، وأصبحت علماً مستقلاً، تُشَدُّ الرِّحَال إلى علمائه، وتضرب أكباد الإبل في سبيل الوصول إلى حملته، لأجل الأخذ عنهم.
وقد عزمت على أن يكون موضوع رسالة الدكتوراه في هذا الفن، لتزداد خبرتي ويتسع إطلاعي فيه، على أني ومذ كنت طالباً في الثانوية الشرعية في مدينة طرطوس كنت أجدني ميالاً لهذا العلم ولا سيما وقد أوصاني بالتخصص فيه فضيلة العالم العابد شيخنا الشيخ عبد الرحمن عيروط اليانياسي عليه الرحمة والرضوان، عندها عقدت العزم على أن أختص في هذا العلم.
