في مجموعتها الشعرية "كلَّما بلغ القمر" تحمل فدوى سليمان فانوسها في ليل الظلام، تبحث عن بقعة ضوء، في وطن أثقلته الجراح، وأحاطه السواد، محاصر بأوهام الديكتاتور عن أبدية لن تكون؛ وحدها سورية ستبقى أزلية، عامرة وعابرة للتواريخ، ولهذا السبب تخاطبها الشاعرة في "تكوين": "كان ترفُّ على هدأة العمر/شعاعاً من نورْ/عندما كان/العماء يَلُفُّنَا/جميعاً". بهذه الكلمات المفردات المشغولة بالألم تتناول الشاعرة سليمان هموم الإنسان العربي والسوري بالأخص في عبوره الحي، كما تجنح إلى قضايا مجتمعها المتأصلة الطارئة، في طرح عميق، وسيلتها الصورة الشعرية، حيث اقتناص الصورة من المشهد الحسي الذي يجسد المعاناة الخاصة والعامة، في نص مكشوف وبيّن تارة، ومعمى باللفظ تارة أخرى في اختزال لأعلى درجات الألم، مع الأخذ بعين الاعتبار مستوى المتلقي من حيث الطرح والفكرة، ومخاطبة الشعور والمستوى المعرفي، ولا يخلو النص أيضاً من الاهتمام بالزخرف والبيان الجمالي "وفي هذا النفق المظلم/على القلب أن يبقى على القلب/واليد في اليد/والروح في الروح/والعينُ واحدة/في هذا النلفق المظلم/علينا أن نعرف الفرق/ما بين المرايا والمرايا/في هذا النفق المظلم/واحداً/فقد نعبر"، بنصّ على قدر كبير من الاتساق مع الأيديولوجيا السائدة حول ذات الموقف، ولغة مشحونة، بالدلالات الحميمية، فأفلحت في إيصال رسائلها من مدينة النور باريس إلى أبناء الوطن...
يضم الكتاب أربعة نصوص نثرية طويلة جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "صورة"، "ضفّة النهر"، "اغتراب"، و"تكوين".
