القارىء لقصائد الشاعر ذوقان عبد الصمد يدرك أن هناك نداءات سرية، تشد الشاعر إلى دواعيها وتدفعه لأن يكون صاحباً لمشاعره وأفكاره كلها، فكان الشعر حالة مترعة به، كان فيض من الأسئلة، وسيل من الأجوبة، تصطرع بناء النداءات المتوالية، في مناخات تأويلية، هي نوع من القصائد التي لا تضيء لتكشف عن سريتها وكموناتها، بل تلك التي تومىء، من دون أن تختزل في معنى واحد يقيدها، إنها كرنفال من الشعر.
في القصدية المعنونة "أخال الشعر" يقول ذوقان عبد الصمد:
"أخال الشعر ينبض في عروقي / تراتيلاً يوقّعها إلهُ ... / يباعد بي على شغف التناهي / ولم ابلغ بحلمي منتهاهُ !! / ويُسعدني إذا طيفٌ تبدّى / وراءَ الظنّ، وابتسمت رؤاهُ !! / أناجيه بما أشجى فؤادي / وما حملتْ من الخلجات آه .. / أرى شمس القريض على مطل / تواهج من سبائكها مداهُ !! (...)".
قدم للديوان "ستائر ممزقة" بكلمات الشاعر جورج طربيه والدكتور أسعد السكاف والدكتور محمد علي شمس الدين، مع كلمة ترحيب للشاعر ذوقان عبد الصمد بالأدباء، يتبع ذلك أربعة وعشرون قصيدة نثرية للشاعر جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "كفاك ما عنّفوا" ، "يشربون الشاي" ، "بردى" ، "رثاء سميح القاسم" ، "قصيدتي" ، "يا رب" ، "ممالك عالية" ، "أشعل الحرف" ، "الشيطان" ، "موت العجوز" ، "ركبتُ مهري" ، "عبد جبال الروكي" ، "إلى نسيم" ، "يتم الرّوح" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
خفّ الغمامُ، وظلّتْ فوقُ واحدةٌ / على رفوفِ أعالي السّفحِ تعتلقُ!! كأنّهــا ثـوبُ غيداءٍ يطيـرُ بها / خلفَ البهاءِ إلى أحلامِـها الغَسَق/ تخالُها تركتْ مـنْ شالهــا نُتَفاً / على صخورِ الذُرى بيضاءَ تـأتلق / تنساحُ عند هبوبِ الرّيح طرْحَتُها / وذيـلُ فستانِها يطفـو وينزلق!!
