ويبدو دور علم الصحة النفسية واضحاً وجلياً من خلال التدخل وإصلاح وضع هذا الإنسان من خلال برامجه الوقائية أو العلاجية التي يقدمها أناس أكفاء لديهم القدرة على إعادة التوازن النفسي لهذا الإنسان نسبياً، وصولاً بالفرد إلى الحالة الإيجابية التي يكون فيها متوافقاً مع ذاته ومع مجتمعه قادراً على أن يعيش حياة سعيدة مستثمراً كل إمكاناته وطاقاته في حدودها الطبيعية، وأن يوظف تلك الإمكانات والقدرات التوظيف السليم.
ومن هنا، جاءت أهمية تأليف هذا الكتاب.
