إن هذه الدراسة تعكس أولاً العمق التاريخي لدعوة التوحيد في العراق، وكيف كان العراق قد شهد الدعوة إلى التوحيد الإلهي، وكان مهبطاً للرسالات السماوية، وموضعاً لتربية ونشأة الأنبياء والرسل ومن ثم غادره بعضهم ليبلغوا رسالات ربهم إلى الأقوام التي بعثوا إلى دعوتهم للتوحيد. إن المصدر الأول والأساسي لهذه الدراسة هو القرآن الكريم، ثم بعض كتب التفسير والتاريخ التي ساعدت في بناء هيكلية الدراسة.
