وتبحث الكيمياء أيضاً تحولات الطاقة التي ترافق التحولات الكيماوية كتولد الحرارة ثم كيفية تطويع تلك الحرارة لتنتج الطاقة الكهربائية ويتبع ذلك بالاستخدامات المفيدة للعديد من المواد المشعة التي يمكن تخليقها من المفاعل وبكلمة أخرى تعني الكيمياء بأي غاز أو سائل أو جسم جامد يمكنك أن تسميه وبأي قمر أو كوكب أو شمس بين ذلك العدد الذي لا يحصى من النجوم التي تزين السماء.
إنه الكون بأكمله، بيد أن الكون هو بالواقع حقل العالم الكيماوي الحديث.
