من على شرفة الذاكرة تطل الكاتبة العراقية هدير الجميلي تُلملم "أوراقٌ من زمنٍ ماضٍ" بسرد، على الرغم من وعيه بذاته وبوظيفته يقترب من الكلام في الحلم ومن لغة الشعر، حيث يُستدخل كل شيء ويعاد ارتسامه في مخيلة الكاتبة، فتتأرجح الوقائع على حافة الذكريات؛ تروي حكاية زمنٍ ماضٍ، لا يزال مكدساً في الذاكرة فانهار حبراً يسيل على ورق .. حبراً لقلمٍ خط خواطرَ وكلمات أبت أن تهرب وإن مر زمان على إهمالها. تقول هدير الجميلي في المقدمة التي افتتحت بها عملها هذا: "نرسم على جدران ذاكرتنا كلمات تشهد على أحداث مررنا بها ولم تُحذف بقاياها العالقة فينا، لننقش في إحدى زوايا الزمن ماضينا، نبعثر آلامنا ونرسم أملاً جميلاً. لتنولد أرواحاً نديّة تمسك القلم ... تعزف حروفاً .. وترسم مشاعر من لهفة الخاطر، ويبقى ما بين إحساس الماضي وروعة الحاضر ألم تأبى خطوات الماضي في العودة إليه منتظرة مستقبل مجهول".
وهكذا، عبر ذاكرة شخصية في عالم يتهاوى، هو عالم المرأة / الكاتبة تستعيد هدير بقلمها الجميل الأمكنة والأزمنة، فمن عالم الطفولة في المدرسة الإبتدائية، إلى اللعب مع الرفاق، إلى المراهقة وبذرة الحب الأولى وانتهاءً بعالم الفقد والفناء نقرأ تفاصيل لوحة أدبية مزينة بألوان قوس قزح، هي محكيات سطرتها علّها تشابه الألوان في تداخلها ومزيجها فترسم بحروفها في صفحات قليلة لوحة من الحياة.
