Book Description
قال أبو الفرج الأصفهاني في عنان الناطفية في كتابه الأغاني: "كانت عنان مولّدة من مولدات المدينة، وبها نشأت وتأدبت، واشتراها الناطفي وربّاها، وكانت صفراء جميلة الوجه، شكلة، مليحة الأدب والشعر سريعة البديهة. وكان فحول الشعراء يساجلونها، ويقارضونها، فتنتصف منهم".
ولهذه الشاعرة أخبار عدة مع هارون الرشيد. وقد ذكر ابن النديم في كتابه "الفهرست" أن لعنان ديواناً شعرياً يقع في عشرين ورقة، ولكن لم يعثر على هذا الديوان، لذا عمل المحقق على جمع أشعارها في هذا الكتاب والتي كانت مبعثرة في بطون أمهات الكتب والمصادر، فقام باستقصائها مع أخبارها التي ضمّها في هذا الديوان.
