يوجه هذا الكتاب الضوء نحو بعض الأركان المظلمة فيما يخص موضوع الدعوة الإسلامية، في محاولة لاستكشاف الموضوعي من غير الموضوعي في مسيرة القوة الإسلامية. والقوة التي يتعرض لها الكتاب ليست القوة العسكرية وحدها، رغم أهميتها القصوى، وإنما ما يمكن أن تشمله من عناصر عسكرية ومعنوية وتاريخية وجغرافية وبشرية. ثم التركيز في الكتاب على فترة دعوة النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم باعتبارها أهم فترة في التاريخ الإسلامي، وسبباً لانتصار الحادث فيما بعد، أو باعتبارها الخط الفاصل بين عنصرين عالمين، ولو تمت إشارة المؤلف لبعض حوادث التاريخ بعد محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، إنما أشار إليها في قاسها بما قبلها وفي إطار الفكرة الرئيسية للكتاب.
