دراسة تحليلية للحياة الأخلاقية والعلمية والسياسية للإمام الرضا وقد اتبعت في هذه الدراسة المنهج العلمي الرصين بعيداً عن العواطف الجياشة. بهدف الوصول الى معرفة السيرة والمسيرة المشرقة للإمام الرضا(ع)،وتقديمها للأجيال المعاصرة بلغة جديدة،وفهم جديد،وأسلوب جديد. وما هذه الدراسة إلا واحدة من تلكم الدراسات والأبحاث العلمية التي سبق لمؤلفيها الكتابة فيها عن الإمام الرضا(ع) إلا أنني أرجو أن أكون قد قدمت شيئاً جديداً ومفيداً في هذه الدراسة العلمية عن الإمام الرضا(ع) إلا انه لا بد من الاعتراف مسبقاً بقصور أية دراسة من استيفاء كامل سيرة الإمام الرضا(ع) لكن يمكن القول أن هذه الدراسة ليس هدفها ذلك من البداية، وإنما ركزت على جوانب معينة كأدوار الإمام الرضا(ع) وأنشطته الدينية والعلمية،وأيضاً مشاركته السياسية كولي للعهد للمأمون العباسي.
