كتاب "معاني الأخبار" من عيون التراث الإسلامي المجيد في القرن الرابع الهجري، فهو في عالم الرجال والحديث، انتظمت فيه مجموعة كبيرة من الأحاديث تجاوزت الثمانين حديثاً حمعها الفقيه (أبي جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن بابويه) المتوفى سنة 381 هـ، ووضعها في أبواب. حيث يفسر كل باب معنى لحديث مثل: (معنى بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم)، (معنى الواحد)، (معنى الظالم لنفسه والمقتصد والسابق)، (معنى قول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنت ومالك لأبيك)، (معنى الجماعة والفرقة والسنة والبدعة)، (معنى النامصة والمتنمصة والواشرة والمستوشرة)، (معنى الزاهد)، ...الخ. آخر ذلك من معانٍ للأحاديث فسَرها الكؤلف عبر كتاب الله (القرآن الكريم) وحديث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم والأئمة الصالحين، وقد تبين الاختلاف بين العلماء في التفسير مع الشرح والبرهان الصحيح، وللقارئ الحكم في نهاية الأمر...
