وفي الجزء الثاني من الكتاب تناول نظرية هنتنغتنون في صراع الحضارات، من خلال كتابه "Ep8H6VfnhNhref='/abookstore/bookpage.asp?id=96641'>صدام الحضارات وإعادة بناء النظام العالمي" مركزاً على العلاقات بين الإسلام والغرب.
وفي ختام الكتاب تحدث عن العولمة وتجلياتها السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية ومستقبل النظام الذي يفضل أن يسميه "اللانظام العالمي الجديد".
إن هذا الكتاب حاجة ملحّة لكل سياسي، ولكل مثقف، وبخاصة في الظروف الراهنة، وتداعيات هدم مركز التجارة العالمي في عام 2001 التي جعلت التاريخ بعد 11 أيلول مختلفاً عن التاريخ قبله.
