يتناول كتاب "تاريخ... من لا تاريخ لهم: فلاحو المنصورة في القرنين التاسع عشر والعشرين" تاريخًا محليًّا لفلاحي المنصورة – البقاع الغربي – لبنان على امتداد قرنين، ولكن الكاتب، وهو يبحث عن تاريخ مجتمع صغير يدخل إلى رحاب مجتمع أوسع، معتمدًا إضافة إلى المصادر والمراجع التاريخية، ذاكرة عن تاريخ بلدتهم خلال المراحل العثمانيّة والفرنسيّة والاستقلالية. ويحفر العمل عميقًا في ذاكرة أهالي عن سبب تسمية قريتهم فإذا بهم يتصورون أن مردها هو انتصارهم على الإقطاعيين الدروز حوالى منتصف القرن التاسع عشر وتملكهم الأراضي بعدها، لكن الوثائق تكشف أن المنصورة كانت موجودة منذ القرن السادس عشر. وقد ورد ذكرها في دفاتر الطابو العثمانية، وتضمّن عدد سكانها والمتوجّب عليهم ضريبة من القمح والشعير وغيرها. مما يعني أنها كانت موجودة وباسمها منذ العصر المملوكي وربما قبله. لكن العمل لا يكتفي بالمقارنة بين التاريخين المكتوب والشفهي، إذ يغوص في ذاكرتهم عما تبقى لديهم عن أحداث في المرحلتين العثمانية والفرنسية. ويتبين أن الأهالي المسلمين يملكون ذاكرة مثقلة بالمرارة خلاف المسيحيين عن الأولى، باعتبار أن سوقهم إلى السخرة والتجنيد الإجباري كاد يصيبهم بالإنقراض.
ويتطرّق العمل إلى المحيط القريب من المنصورة، ودلالات هندسة البيوت المعتمدة وأولياءها والعائلات ومصادرها وحياتهم السياسيّة ونزعاتهم، وعملية الطابو. وما رافقها من تمييز، وكيف جاءت التطوّرات اللاحقة لتقلّب التراتبيّة التي أرستها هذه العملية التي تمت في العام 1932 رأسا على عقب. كذلك يتابع المؤلف انتقال البلدة من الرعي إلى الزراعة، زراعة التوت أولًا ثم القمح والحبوب البعلية ولاحقًا الخضار والكروم والفواكه المروية. كما يتعرض إلى الهجرة التي بدأت في مرحلة مماثلة لبقية المناطق اللبنانيّة، أي قبيل وبداية القرن العشرين وينشر رسائل واردة من البرازيل عن رؤية مهاجر لأبناء البلاد الأصليين أواسط الأربعينيات، وينهي المؤلف بالتوقف عند الحوادث الكبرى والصغرى التي عرفتها البلدة. كل هذا يجعل من هذا العمل عبارة عن دراسة تاريخية انتربولوجية اقتصادية اجتماعية للحياة والعلاقات الداخلية والخارجيّة.
