على الرغم من أن الكثيرون قد كتبوا عن القضية الفلسطينية والنزاع العربي – الصهيوني. وليس من المبالغة في شيء حين نقول أنه ليست هناك حركة في العالم كتب عنها بقدر ما كتب عن القضية الفلسطينية. وفي العراق كتب الكثيرون عنها كتبا ومذكرات. ولما كانت العادة الجارية لدى المؤلفين بصورة عامة الأكاديميين بصورة خاصة يستهدفون في مشاريعهم العلمية مواضيع جديدة لم يتناولها أحد سابقاً. أو ان تناولها حصل بشكل محدود أو اعترته في التناول نواقص معينة. لكن هذا لم يحصل في الجهود العلمية التي تناولت الصراع العربي – الاسرائيلي. ولهذا فأنني وفقاً لذلك لم أتصدى لهذه المشكلة مع أهميتها ومشاعري العربية – والانسانية. ولكن عدم الكتابة لاتعني مطلقاً عدم المتابعة للقضية, وليس المتابعة وحدها. بل يصاحب ذلك مشاعر عطف وولاء وألم لما يتعرض له عرب فلسطين من تشريد وقتل وهدم لمنازلهم والاستيلاء على ارضهم.
