هذا النص الروائي لا يكتبه إلا حازم كمال الدين، رجل المسرح الخبير بتمارين الذاكرة والجسد، والممعن حد الهوس بكتابة نصوص مغايرة للسياق. هذه المرة يرسي حازم قلمه على أرض العراق، وعبر سفرات عديدة - كاد أن يقتل في أحدها- يرصد لنا المتغيرات عبر انزياح صورة الواقع اليومية المأساوية لتصبح صورة فنية أبلغ بكثير من صور الواقع، ها هو يمزج بين سردية ممسرحة على أرض بغداد القديمة والحديثة، وتطلعات ممعنة بالكاريكترية الساخرة عن مستقبل العراق، ومن خلال شخصيات تجمع هي الأخرى بين داليا السندباد وداليا علاء الدين، وداليا الزوج المختطف، هذه الذكورية والأنثوية تتشرب كل تفاصل الرواية، لتغطي الألسن والأزياء والأتربة والرياح والإشاعات، فبغداد لا تمسك بلغة واحدة، فالكل يعيش ضمن ثنائية الذكورة/الأنوثة، مثل هذه الثنائية الطائرة في سماوات بغداد ومعاركها..
