هل العنوان هو الذي يولّد القصيدة، أم أن القصيدة هي التي تتولد من عنوانها، لقد اختار إبراهيم زولي هذه المرة "حرس شخصي للوحشة" عنواناً لمجموعته الشعرية الجديدة كنوع من التمثيل الكنائي، أو الرمزي، أو الإستعماري غير المباشر، لتصعيد اهتمام القارىء، بحيث لا تتضح دلالته إلا عند القراءة الكاملة للنص. ولعل قراءة واحدة من قصائد المجموعة تجعل من الممكن فهم النص، وتفسيره وتأويله إلى حد ما.
في القصيدة المعنونة "دون إباحية" يقول الشاعر زولي:
"غالباً، يحمل منجل المعنى، / يستأصل به لحم المجهول / مثل شحاذٍ يجوب الشوارع / غير مطمئنٍ لمؤشر السهم، / أو كصياد يذرّ الرماد / على ذاكرة الأسماك / ذلك سره المكنون، / السر الذي لم يكاشف به أحداً، / سرّ له طعم الغايات / وقناعه الإيديولوجيا، / سرّ ليس في حاجة لغسل تميمته / لأنه واثق من السحر / الذي سقاه – دون إباحية - للقصيدة".
إن النص هنا ينفتح على فضاء رؤيوي، وهذا الإنفتاح يحوّل الكتابة إلى سيمياء وعلاقاتية من المركب الشعري، فالبنية عند الشاعر زولي يبدو أنها تتألف من جملة شفرات لغوية ذات دلالات شعرية قائمة على الغموض في المضامين، الغاية منها خلق جدلية شعرية جديدة داخل فضاء النص وهو ما يتفرد به شاعرنا عن غيره من أبناء جيله، فأبدع شعريته الخاصة، ولونه الخاص.
يضم الكتاب (52) قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "ليل بلا حكمة" ، "جذع مكسور" ، "الولد" ، "حماقة" ، "مغلق للصيانة" ، "الوحيد" ، "عادة مدرسية" ، "إيّاك" ، "مصطلح غامض" ، "طقس" ، "العبارة" ، "كالفراغ" ، " أبي" (...) وقصائد أخرى.
