بهذا المعنى يمكن تصنيف هذه الرواية أنها رواية مستقبلية لغة حدثاً وتكنيكاً بما أنها تقطع مع التاريخ في الرواية المتعارف عليها كتابة وتكنيكاً بشكل حاسم، لا دور هنا للتاريخ في بناء الرواية، خاصة من حيث علاقتها بالأيديولوجية أو السلطة أو الإثنتين معاً.
تنبني الرواية على الراهن من السلطة، على الراهن من النظام الشمولي كليّ العسف، كليّ الجبروت، على الشخص أيضاً كليّ العسف كليّ الجبروت، المرتبط عرشه بالسحرة والمشعوذين، حيث يحيل قطيعاً من الشعب إلى مجرد عبدة للفرد، وهو يتأهب للموت في نظامه الجمهوري المحمي ببطانة من الجلاوزة المتآمرين معه جماعة ضدهم فرداً فرداً.
تلك اللعبة التي يرتبها بدقة متناهية لمن بعده، أي لوريثه المستقبلي الذي عرشه على تلول من الجماجم ومستنقعات من الدم.
