هذا كتاب يضم شعر أبي الفتح منصور البيني و من خلال النصوص الموجودة يمكننا استنتاج أنه شاعر مشهور في عصره, كان يسكن الفسطاط, لم يكن من علية القوم و كان مستوراً, لم يخلف من يرثه عن أملاكه, توفي في السابع و العشرين من ذي القعدة سنة 415 هجرية. و هو شامي الأصل ينتمي الى قبيلة كلب, و لعل خصاصة أصابته في وطنه فقرر الرحيل. و كانت أخلاقه كريمة يسر بها من يصحبه. و هذا الكتاب يجمع ما تبقى من شعر البيني للتعريف به و الإشادة بذكره و التفريق بينه و بين غيره من الشعراء. و يحتوي الكتاب على واحداً و سبعين و مئة بيت من الشعر لهذا الشاعر.
