ويناقش الكتاب مساهمات الصّدر في تجديد الفقه الإسلامي، لا سيّما في المواضيع الدستورية والإقتصادية والمصرفية، متناولاً وقع هذه الأفكار في العالم الإسلامي، وبالأخصّ في إيران ما بعد الثورة.
