هكذا كان قلمها لا يحسن التعبير الأدبي إلا بلغات أجنبية، وهي العربية-طفلة، فشابة، فراشدة التي تكتب الشعر منذ سن التاسعة باللغة الإنكليزية. كتبت في موضوعات شتى- في البحث عن الذات، في الحب والفقدان، في الإيمان بالله وبالعروبة.
صاحبة الكتاب رندة حموي سيدة عربية الفؤاد، عالمية المعاناة، تستقي من جذور أمتها روح المحبة -محبة الإنسان أنى كان- وتصف من خلال تجربتها عبر آفاق العالم تشويه الإنسان للإنسان وضياع فطرته السوية حين ينأى عن عالم القيم الإنسانية الحقة التي دعت إليها الأديان السماوية وأكدها حملة الرسالات الفكرية الخيرة عبر التاريخ.
لقد جهدت الكاتبة وكدت من أجل أن تجد معنى وجودها، ومن أجل أن تدل كل إنسان على دروب الإنسانية الحقة.
وقد قدمت ذلك كله في إناء أدبي ممتع، يختلط فيه الشعر بالنثر حتى ليغدو النثر شعراً والشعر نثراً، ما دام كلاهما يغرف من عاطفة تكاد تحترق لتضيء. والفكر من خلال ذلك كله وشوشة وهمس وغوص في أعماق الشعور واللاشعور.
إنها تجربة ذاتية أصيلة في شتى جنباتها... بل هي تجربة أمة تبحث عن ذاتها من خلال الأفق العالمي، خيره وشره.
