تنتهج الدراسات النقدية المعاصرة مسارات شتّى في تناول النصّ الشعريّ؛ لكن يبدو أن هناك خيطاً يربط بينها جميعاً، ألا وهو الدرس اللساني الحديث.
وفي هذا الإطار بالذات يندرج هذا الكتاب الذي يجتهد في توظيف المعطيات الصوتيّة التي أنتجتها اللسانيات لدراسة واحد من مواطن الإبداع في الشعر العربي؛ أقصد الترابط والتكامل والتجاوب بين شكل العمل الفنيّ ودلالاته.
إنّ علاقة الصوت بالدلالة قضيّة شائكة تطرّقت لها كلّ الحضارات الإنسانيّة، وأسهمت فيها الدراسات المعاصرة بقدر كبير من النقاش الثريّ، وهي أحد أوجه هذه العلاقة بين شكل النصّ ودلالاته.
إذن؛ فالإشكاليّة التي يطرحها الكتاب لسانية بحتة تندرج ضمن جدلية العلاقة بين الدال والمدلول، وسيتمّ إستجلاء هذه الإشكالية في مدونة ذات صبغة خاصة؛ إنّها شعر الصعاليك حيث تُهمُش اللغة وظيفتها التوصيلية وتتبأر حول نفسها في وظيفة جمالية.
وقد اخترته ميدان درس لشاعريّة الصعاليك المتميّزة كصوت فريد في المتن الشعريّ العربي، لقوّة الأفكار التي يدعون إليها، ولسموّها الإنسانيّ وجاذبيتها، وبسبب تجدّدها في كلّ عصرٍ؛ وبخاصة عصر العولمة هذا.
