"الرحلة الضوئية" نص مسرحي يقدم من خلاله المخرج العراقي "فاضل سوداني" عرض بصري عن الإنسان والعنف، يناقش فيه أزمة "فان كوخ" وبالذات أزمة المثقف عموماً. وفي هذا العمل يبتعد الكاتب عن تقديم حياة "فان كوخ" كسرد تاريخي بل يتعمق في تلك الرؤيا التي تسببها نوبات الوجد الوحشية التي يعانيها الفنان جراء العنف الإجتماعي الذي يمارس ضده، بل ويتعمق أكثر في أحلام الفنان الشاردة، وفي تلك الرؤى القلقة التي توجد صداها في العنف وفي الفوضى الكونية.
تناولت طقوس المسرحية الستة مصير الفنان المنهار وهو يعيش وسط الدمار، والعنف، والتباسات مصيره، وتأتي شخصية "فان كوخ" كي تقدم صورة هذا البطل الإشكالي في واقع إشكالي جحيمي لا يرحم، لأن ألوان ما يرسم تضعه في قفص الإتهام، وأحداث ما يرسم تتوحد لتساهم في خلق مأساويته ومأساة المجتمع والعالم. يبرز فاضل سوداني اختياره لهذه الشخصية الدرامية متسائلاً: "أين تكمن هذه الدراما التي يمكن أن تشكل عرضاً متفرداً بامتياز كما أراها، هل تكمن في حياة فان كوخ البائسة والمملوءة بالمتناقضات أم في طموحاته ورؤاه الفنية الغنية بالتناقض؟" الإجابة نجدها موزعة على الحوارات التي تدور بين شخوص هذه الطقوس التي عنونها الكاتب كالآتي: الطقس الأول: قربان القيامة، الطقس الثاني: وهم الحب، الطقس الثالث: ملاك وشيطان يتخاصمان على جسدي، الطقس الرابع: الإعتراف، الطقس الخامس: البابان الضوئيان وفيه بابان: الباب الأول: زهرة الشعراء وقداس النقاد، والباب الثاني: عينا ميدوزا الجميلتان، أما الطقس السادس والأخير فجاء بعنوان إغابة السديم في مرآة الأسرار.
الجدير بالذكر، أن هذه المسرحية ترجمت إلى الدانمركية، وأخرجها الكاتب نفسه على أحد مسارح كوبنهاجن ("تيرا نوفا تياتر") مع ممثلين دانمركيين محترفين، وأخرجها بالعربية مع ممثلين عرب وسويدين، وترجمت إلى الإنكليزية في جامعة عبد الملك السعدي في مدنية تطوان بالمغرب.
