في هذا الكتاب يسعى السيد "بسام خضرة" إلى توضيح من هم الشيعة الحقيقيون الذين أخبر عنهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأهل بيت النبوة (عليهم السلام). ويبدأ كتابه بسؤال (من هو الشيعي ؟؟) مستنداً إلى قول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إن شيعتنا من شيعنا وتبعنا في أعمالنا". أما أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام) فيقول: "شيعتي والله الحلماء، العلماء بالله ودينه، العاملون بطاعته أمره...".
يعتبر الكاتب على أن المسلم أن يتصف بصفات معينة ليكون مع الشيعة فيقول لك: إذا كنت مصلياً، ومتعلماً، ومتفقهاً وهذه صفات الإمام الحسين عليه السلام فأنت معه "يا ليتنا كنا معكم فنفوز فوزاً عظيماً" هي أمنية كربلائية قابلة للتحقيق برأي الكاتب إذا كنت مسلماً صادقاً في القول والعمل. وهكذا يشدد الكتاب على الصلاة ويعتبرها عماد الدين وأنها أحب الأعمال إلى الله ويخص القارئ بصلاة تسقط الذنوب وردت عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام؟ إضافة إلى طلب العلم يقول أمير المؤمنين "لا خير في عبارة ليس فيها تفقه" أيضاً يحض الكاتب المسلمين على التعلم فقد ورد على الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم "أفضل الصدقة أن يعلم المرء علماً ثم يعلمه أخاه" وهنا إشارة إلى وجوب عدم كتم العلم عن إخوانك في الدين وأخيراً الإبتعاد عن الجهل لإن الجهل يفسد كل أمر...
