كانت لحامل الحكمة دائماً مكانة خاصة منذ فجر البشرية، ويبدو أن مؤلف هذا الكتاب من الذين ذاقوا ثمار الحكمة من مهدها، تلك التي جاءت في حكمة الرسل والحدود والأنبياء. وها هو يقدمها في كتابه "حسن المآب" إنه الشيخ والمؤرخ اللبناني حافظ أبو مصلح يوضح رؤيته المعرفية والمفاهيمية لعلاقة الإنسان بالدين فيقول "أُنزلت الديانات وتعددت أسماؤها، وتباينت بعض مفاهيمها. اقرأها، ودقق في معارفها وآياتها. أشهر عقيدتك من دون تسفيه إلى عقيدة أخرى. كل من يسفه عقائد الآخرين كافر. إتخذ التوحيد معتقداً، تكن قد جمعت الأديان كلها، لأن التوحيد أصل كل دين، ونهاية كل إيمان، ومحطة كل عرفان. من حقك أن تختار ما تريد وتعبد من تشاء. فالدين علم قبل كل شيء. تجاوز الحواجز وشق الحجب الباطنة لهداية الناس إلى المعرفة الشاملة". ويقول أيضاً: إحمل كتابك بعينيك، واقرأه ببصيرتك، واجعل أحرفه سُلمك إلى الحضرة. وقل صامتاً: الحكمة موردي، والسلام رفيقي، والعّرْف أنيسي، ومبدع العقل معبودي ...".
