تستقي هذه الدراسة حول ديداكتيك الفلسفة أهميتها من تركيزها على تحليل المحتويات المعرفية ومن إسهامها في تحويل المعارف الفلسفية إلى معارف معدَة للتعلَم، ويعتبر مؤلفها أن الديداكتيك يشكَل مدخلاً مناسباً للتعمَق في تحليل المحتويات المعرفية التي يلحظها المنهاج الرسمي. والتحويل الديداكتيكي يمكَن أستاذ الفلسفة من اقتراح مسالك محدَدة تنهل من معين الموروث الفلسفي بقصد تغذية وتوضيح مضامين وأهداف المنهاج ومن ثم المبادرة إلى صياغتها على شكل تعلَمات وإجراءات صفيَة.
لذلك، فإنَ ديداكتيك الفلسفة، الطامح إلى تحويل بعض النتاج الفلسفَي إلى مادَة تعليميَة متحددة معرفيَاً ومهارباً، يشكل في الواقع العين الفاحصة التي تنظر في آنٍ معاً في مصامين وأهداف المنهاج من جهة أولى، وفي الممارسات والإستراتيجيَات الملائمة لتحويل ما يسطره المنهاج إلى أهداف تعلَميَة وإلى لحظات أو إجراءات صفيَة مناسبة من جهة ثانية، ففي ديداكتيك الفلسفة تشابك بين طرفين: المنهاج الرسمي بما يمثله من سلطة مؤسَسية، والتخطيطات والممارسات الصفيَة، أي وضعيَات التنفيذ التي يقوم بها الجسم التعليميَ.
