إذا كان كل محكي حسب "فاركا" يقترح تساؤلاً أو إشكالاً حول موضوع ما، فإن دلالات المحكيات تختلف حسب طبيعة ومضمون هذا التساؤل أو الإشكال السردي. وبتأملنا لمحكيات حنان درقاوي القصصية "بنت الرباط" نجدها من نوع تحريك الساكن وتثويره. إنها تحمّل تلافيف قلمها معاني الأنوثة والغيرة، فهي الكاتبة التي تدرك أنها تعيش وسط عالم إشكالي ومتحول، يشكل لها مصدر قلق محفز للكتابة، وبالطبع الحياة كلها إشكال وجزء من هذا الإشكال علاقة الرجل بالمرأة، وهو ما يتمظهر في صميم هذه المجموعة، حيث تأتي أغلب القصص على شكل تنويعات حياتية انتشلتها الكاتبة من الواقع، لتعبر عن ما يجيش في واقعها من تراكمات الحياة، بحلوها ومرها، دون مواربة أو لف أو دوران، فهي تدخل في صلب الحدث لتنقل لنا أنماطاً من الشخصيات الأنثوية والذكورية تبدو إلى حد قريب مطابقة لواقع الحال الإجتماعي الذي تدور فيه الأحداث وهو فضاء المغرب العربي الذي هو جزء من فضاء عربي أوسع وأشمل؛ فالمرأة هنا على غير العادة تبدو غير مهتمة بالعادات والتقاليد، لا تتورع عن إعلان تمردها عليها وعلى المجتمع، فتجرب الحياة على طريقتها، فنقع في الحكايا على نساء للمتعة، وآخرون يبحثون عن نساء مربيات مستكينات لواقعهن، وفي كل الحالات نحن إزاء نساء يعشن حالاً من الفقدان، يبحثن عن سعادة مفقودة، ويتفقن في المعاناة والبؤس الزوجي، مع اختلاف كل حالة عن أخرى، وما يجمع بينها هو خضوعها لظروف مشابهة. أما ما يفرّق بينها فهو طريقة مواجهة هذه الظروف.
يضم مجموعة "بنت الرباط" ثمان وعشرون قصة قصيرة جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "زينة الحياة الدنيا" ، "حب في انتظار الفارين" ، " عيون ماما" ، "وتحت سرير تفاح" ، "المومس البلهاء" ، "عربات لحم" ، "بيان الوافد" ، "ضمانات وردية" ، "في انتظار الصحراء" ، "بياسة" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
