أخطر ما في ذكرياتنا الجميلة/ أن نستحضر شياطينها/ لنبتزَّ بهم/ أشباح حاضرنا الشاحب... / أخطر ما فيها/ أن نستطيع دخول/ أقبيتها المهجورة/ حين نشاء../ لنسرقَ من أكياسها المغَبرة التي/ تعاقبت على تمزيقها/ فئران الزمن/ ملعقة سكّرٍ فاسدٍ/ لنحلّي به طعم أيّامنا/ وإن كان في تلك الحلاوةِ/ السمُّ الذي/ يعلنُ/ بدءَ دمارِنا..".
