عبد المالك مرتاض (ولد 10 أكتوبر 1935) أستاذ جامعي وأديب جزائري حاصل على الدكتوراة في الأدب. ولد في مسيردة بولاية تلمسان. رئيس المجلس الأعلى للغة العربية (2001م). ويشغل حاليا 2011 كأستاذ لمقياس الأدب الجزائري، من أهم صفاته بين طلبته تواضعه وسمته يعد مرجعا في الدراسات الأدبية والنقدية. كان عضوا في لجنة التحكيم لمسابقة شاعر المليون التي أقيمت في أبو ظبي.

لما كانت قصيدة "رحلة المراحل" للشاعر سعد الحميدين، تمثل في اثنتي عشرة لوحة شعرية: عشر مرقمات بالترتيب العددي، واثنان (الأولى والأخيرة) غير مرقمتين، فإن الخطة المنهجية التي رسمناها جعلتنا لا نجاري تقسيم الشاعر سعد الحميدين، فاضطررنا إلى غضافة بعض اللوحات إلى صنواتها، فخرج عملنا التحليلي هذا كله في عشرة فصول، عوضاً عن اثني عشر فصلاً، لتوازي اثنتي عشرة لوحة. وقد تأسست هذه القراءة التحليلية عن ستة مستويات، أي إننا عالجنا كل لوحة شعرية في هذه القصيدة في ستة مستويات من التحليل، وذلك على نحو يتيح لنا أن نلقي الأضواء على نص القصيدة من حيث ست زوايا، على سبيل التتابع المتراكم. وكانت الغاية من ذلك أنا محاول استفاد عطاء هذا النص -ما أمكن ذلك- واستخراج أهم ما فيه من قيم فنية وجمالية ودلالية وسيمائية. وعقدنا، اثناء ذلك، فصلاً تمهيدياً، بعد الفصل النظري، عرضنا فيه لأبرز الخصائص الفنية لشعر الحميدين بعامة.
