من نداء الحياة الذي يرسله الشاعر طلال سالم منذ أوف قصيدة في الديوان "تعالي" وحتى آخر قصيدة يلخص حال الرجل / العاشق ويبثها في (200 سوناتة حب) تأتي في الكتاب على شكل باقات أو ومضات قصيرة تحمل في ثناياها، روح الشاعر / الإنسان وعوالمه الواسعة، ولعل قراءة القصيدة المعنونة "تعالي" تدل بوضوح على باطن القصائد ومحتواها. يقول الشاعر:
"تعالي أيتها الحياة / عانقيني / تعالي بكل ما آمنت به / وما تلاشى / تعالي أغنيتي القديمة / وأغنية لم أفك روحها بعد / تعالي صدفة أخرى / وأمنية لا تذوب / تعالي في سر قهوتي / في اللقاءات في المجهول / في الشوق في كل التفاصيل / تعالي وكأنني ما حييت قبلك حباً / وما عرفت الفراق إلا لأكون / تعالي في الصباحات في عناق الضوء / وفي المساءات في الحكايا (...)" . ولعل الشاعر أراد هنا القول أن المرأة هي سر الحياة ، وبها يتوحد، وهذه العلاقة لا يعرف سرها إلا من عرف سر الشعر فنكون أمام ثلاثية (الحياة، المرأة، الشعر) والكتابة عند شاعرنا هنا سوف تتسع لكل مستويات الحكي، حيث الإعتماد على التوظيف الفني، المنطق من وعي التجربة؛ لتشع في النص كلمات، تؤكد وثوق الشاعر بها ومن خلالها يتأكد وجوده الشخصي / الشعري والحياتي معاً.
يضم الكتاب قصيدة بعنوان تعالي وأخرى تتألف من (193) مقطعاً شعرياً غزله الشاعر سوناته حب.
