الفطرة: هي الخلقة التي خلق عليها المولود، وتطلق على الدين، وعلى الجبلة المهيأة لقبول الدين، أو الخلقة التي جبل عليها الإنسان... الخ.
والمقصود من الفطرة في هذا البحث، هي الفطرة الإنسانية القابلة للتهذيب التي تفرق بين الإنسان والحيوان، فالحيوان يسعى لتلبية حاجاته الفطرية ضمن حدود رسمها الله سبحانه وتعالى له، أما الإنسان فوضع الله سبحانه له ضوابط تضبط هذه الفطرة وتهذبها.
فضبط ميل الذكر للأنثى، وحب الطعام، وحب التملك إلى غير ذلك ضمن ضوابط شرعية تضمن له سعادة الدنيا قبل نعيم الآخرة.
وما جاء به المؤلف في هذا البحث يأتي في سياق الأبحاث التي تكشف النقاب عن الحقائق العلمية والطبية المذهلة التي تكمن وراء تشريعات هذا الدين الحنيف "دين الإسلام" في تهذيب الفطرة الإنسانية ووضعها ضمن مسارها الصحيح الذي يضمن للإنسان الاستمرار في الحياة بدن معافى من الأمراض، ويضمن له الأجر والثواب في الآخرة. وأيد المؤلف ذلك كله بأقوال الأطباء والمختصين الموثوقين.
