"ومن طين هي الحيطان، من تبن، ومن قصل، ومن عرق النواطير، تظل الريح تضربها بلا شفقة، طوال اليوم، ومن جهة الكروم تهب غامضة، وتبكي كالنواعير، ونركض حولها في الصيف، نزينها بألوان الطباشير، ونرسم فوقها شجراً، خطوطاً لا تقر، مربعات، أو دوائر للعصافير، وقبل النوم، نبللها ونسرع في الدخول لأن صبري ذكرن الأولاد بالواوي، فدب الخوف".
"محمد القيسي" مغن جوال، أنفق حياته الماضية في الشعر وللشعر، غزارته في كتابة الشعر تستوقف الكثيرين، وكاتب هذه الكلمات، واحد منهم، ومن يعرف القيسي عن قرب، يستطع أن يدرك السر في ذلك، فعينا هذا الشاعر مفتوحتان على الدوام لالتقاط رعشة الشعر في الأشياء. عيناه ورئتاه وبصيرته، بالنسبة لشاعر كالقيسي فإن "جرثومة" الشعر تدب في كل الأشياء، في الناس والأماكن وفي الصباح والمساء، وحياته منذورة لمطادرة هذه الجرثومة الذهبية التي تخلع الحياة والصحة والجمال على كل شيء، بل تبدو الطبيعة في نظر القيسي كائناً دائم السيولة، ومهمته هو التقطير والتكثيف في معمل صاخب لا يهدأ.
لا يمكن للقيسي أن توقف عن كتابة الشعر، ولو قليلاً، فالشاعر في إهابه، يتقدن عليه ويحل محله، الشاعر القيسي هو الجسد، أما الشخص فهو روح هائمة ضائعة.
