"فلتسقط الراء وليبقى الحب" بهذه العبارة تبدأ الشاعرة "أليس سلوم" مجموعتها الشعرية هذه، هي منمنمات تدعو إلى الحب في زمن الحرب، هي دعوة من أنثى الأحاسيس والمشاعر تتسلل من بين السطور كي ترسم لوحة عشق تدغدغ أخيلة الوعد "الحب أنا وأنا الحب/ يعشقني من قال: أحب" هي كلمات انفلتت من شجر الروح، لتصل بالشاعرة إلى شيء من الألم حيناً والفرح حيناً أخرى، هي (حكاية كل عاشقين) تقول فيها: غداً ينبئ الشعر عنا/ بأنا حبيبين كنَا/ وأمس افترقنا/ ويسخر منا الجنون/ أمن أجل بعض الظنون/ هو أنا يهون؟(...)".
يضم الكتاب ثلاثون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "القصيدة المجنونة" ،"لمسة يد" ، "مراهقة" ،"غرور" ، "الأميرة النائمة والخرافة وأنت" ، "كبرياء الفرق"...إلخ.
"أحبك لا، لا أبالي بشيء، وأهزأ مما يقال علي، أحب اندفاعي، وقلبي الجريء أعقل من أن يسمى غبي...".
