تحتل شعيرة الحج جانباً مهماً من حياة الانسان المسلم، وعلى كلَ الأصعدة بلا استثناءٍ، فمن الصعيد الاقتصادي إلى السياسي إذ يشكل مصدر عظمة الإسلام وقوة الدين واتحاد المسلمين... حتى أسماها أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام بـ "علم الإسلام وشعاره" هذا، فضلاً عن الصعيد الإجتماعي والتربوي والنفسي، فالحج أرفع وسيلة يمكن للإنسان الاقتراب بواسطتها إلى الله ونيل مغفرته، وحتى يتحقق للأنسان المسلم نيل هذه المرتبة السامية، فلا بدَ له من الإنقطاع عن كل شيء والدعاء إلى الله. وإفراده بالعبادة دون سواه وهذا هو رأسي الأمر، وأصل الدين، من هنا جاء هذا الكتاب الموسوم بـ "تفصيل أدعية الحج"، ليرقى المسلم بأدعيته إلى تلك المعاني المحتضنة لأفعال الحج ومناسكه، فيفوز بالدنيا والآخرة معاً وتتزين روحه بنور الله.
يضم الكتاب (165) دعاء تفيد الإنسان في مناسك الحج المختلفة، استلها المؤلف من أمهات الكتب الدينية المعروفة مثل: جنة الأمان، المزار الكبير، الكافي، المحاسن، التهذيب، كشف الغمة، الصحيفة السجادية الكاملة...إلخ.
من أدعية الحج اخترنا لك: قول رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم): اللهم سلم لي عهدي واقبل توبتي وأحب دعوتي واخلفني فيمن تركت بعدي.
ويقول أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام: إذ قدم أخوك من مكة فقل: "(...): قبل الله نسكك ورحم سعيك وأخلق عليك نفقتك ولا يجعله آخر عهدك ببيته الحرام".
