تتميز سلسلة الحكايات المشوقة بأنها تمزج بين المتعة والفائدة في مضمونها وفي طريقة إخراجها، فمن حيث المضمون نجد أن لكل حكاية تدور في إطار تربوي يقدم للقارئ الصغير قصة مشوقة في أحداثها وشخصياتها ويوجه في الوقت ذاته غلى أن يستخلص من القصة مغزى أخلاقياً رفيعاً يبصره بأهمية القيم والأخلاق الحياة في الحياة.
أما في حيث إخراج فقد قدمت هذه الحكايات بطريقة فنية مبتكرة تسر الناظر بجمال الصورة وثراء اللون، وتحفز القارئ إلى التفاعل مع القصة وهو يتابع أحداثها من البداية حتى يصل إلى الخاتمة فقد استبدلت بعض مفردات القصة بصور تعبر عن الكلمة أفضل تعبير.
ويجد القارئ في آخر الكتاب ملحقاً بكل الصور التي تخللت القصة، وقد كتبت في أسفل كل صورة الكلمة المطلوبة محركة بحسب إعرابها في الجملة وعلى القارئ أن يبحث عن الصورة المناسبة لكي يحصل على الكلمة التي تعبر عنها والتي تكون حركة أخرى مطابقة لموقع الكلمة في الجملة، وبذلك يتدرب القارئ على القراءة الصحيحة، ويعزز لديه الاهتمام بلغته العربية وقواعدها، في الوقت الذي يتذوق فيه متعة القراءة وحلاوة الاكتشاف.
