هذه شعبة من شعب الإيمان كتبت في الاقتصاد في النفقة, قال تعالى: (ولا تجعل يدك مغلولة الى عنقك ولا تبسطها كل البسط فتقعد ملوماً محسوراً). فالله تعالى يصور في الآية البخل يداً مغلولة الى العنق, والإسراف يداً مبسوطة كل البسط لا تمسك شيئاً, ونهى المؤمن أن يجعل يده ممسكة غاية الإمساك بحيث يضيق على نفسه وأهله, كما ينهاه عن التوسع في الإنفاق بحيث لا يبقي في يده شيئاً, فكل خلق له طرفان ووسط, فالطرفان الإفراط والتفريط والوسط الاعتدال.
