الأمانة شعبة من شعب الإيمان, ومطلب من مطالب الدين, وهو لفظ تشترك فيه معان كثيرة, وأتى في القرآن الكريم على أوجه بمعنى الفرائض في قوله تعالى: (إنا عرضنا الأمانة على السموات والأرض والجبال..), وبمعنى العفة والصيانة في قوله تعالى: (إن خير من استئجرت القوي الأمين). والأمانة مسؤولية كبيرة من قام بها وأداها كان جديراً بالتكريم والتبجيل وأن يكون خليفة الله تعالى في أرضه. وكان من أهم ما تناوله الكتاب: معاملة الإنسان مع ربه, الأمانة في الائتمان على المال, الأمانة في الدين, أمانة الزوجة والزوج, أمانة الشهادة, أمانة المرافعة, أمانة الإمام, أمانة الصديق والجار, أمانة الحديث, وغيرها من المواضيع الهامة.
