(كتاب الصدق) لمؤلفه أبو سعيد، أحمد بن عيسى الخواز، "توفي سنة 277هـ" وضع فيه وجهة نظر في الشريعة تتفق على ظاهرها مع وجهات نظر المدارس الفقهية الإسلامية ولا تخلو من تعارض مع مدارس أخرى، حيث حاول الخراز كغيره من صوفية بغداد التقريب بين التصوف الذي فقد سحره وطابعه الزهدي عند الناس وبين المذاهب الفقهية أو بالمصطلح الصوفي، "بين الشريعة والحقيقة" فأصر على أن ليس للشريعة وجهان: ظاهر وباطن وأن "كل باطن يخالف ظاهراً فهو باطل". والخراز هنا يؤلف كتاب الصدق للصوفية فقط كما يقول الدكتور "قاسم السامرائي" في معرض تقديمه لهذا الكتاب "... وهو يخدرهم من أن يقع هذا الكتاب بيد من لا يفهم مقصودة، ويخشى الجنديد –صديق الخزار- أن يفصح في رسالة لصديق له لأن رسالة له فتحت في اصبهان فأسي فهمها...".
يرتكز كتاب الصدق عند الخراز على ثلاثة أصول يعمل بها المسلم لكي " يقوى إيمانه وتقوم حقائقه وتثبت فروعه فتصفو عند ذلك الأعمال وتخلص أن شاء الله، فأولها الإخلاص لقول الله غز وجل: "فاعبد الله مخلصاً له الدين..." وقال لمحمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم): "قل أن أمرت أن أعبد الله مخلصاً له الدين، ثم الصدق لقول الله عز وجل" يا أيها الذين آمنوا اصبروا او صابروا... وهذه ثلاثة أسام لمعانٍ مختلفة وهي داخلة في جميع الأعمال ولا تتم الأعمال إلا بها...".
هذا، وقد جاء كتاب الصدق للشيخ الخراز في (16) باباً قدم له الدكتور "قاسم السامرائي" وأخرج المخطوط وعلق عليه البروفسور "آرثر جون آربري".
