وعلى امتداد خمسة وثلاثين حلقة من هذه اليوميات يفضح المؤلف حقيقة هذه الحرب الاستعمارية، ويسخر من شعاراتها و"أبطالها" ويمجد ويشيد بالمقاومة العراقية على جبهات الجنوب والفرات الأوسط، ويدين هزيمة النظام الاستبدادي النكراء والذي سلم العاصمة بغداد للغزاة دون قتال تقريباً، ثم اختفى من الميدان كما تختفي عصابة من المجرمين المحترفين
إنها شهادات حارة وملتاعة كُتِبَتْ تحت وهج العدوان، وصراخ الضحايا، وعنفوان المقاومين الشجعان، ودون أدنى اعتبار لأية خطوط حمراء أو تحفظات رقابية، فحين يكون الولاء محكوراً للعراق وشعبه الذي عانى طوال خمسة وثلاثين عاماً من قمع نظام دموي متخلف، وها هو يعاني اليوم من همجية غزاة لا يقلّمون دموية، حين يكون الولاء للعراق وشعبه فقط، تسقط تلقائياً كل التحفظات، وتتلاشى كل الخطوط الحمراء.
