يأتي هذا الكتاب من ضمن سلسلة حلقات يشرف عليها المركز العالمي للدراسات التقريبية التابع للمجتمع العالمي للتقريب بين المذاهب الإسلامية في قسم علوم القرآن والحديث بهدف الإضاءة على الأحاديث المشتركة بين السنة والشيعة وإخراجها ونشرها في قالب جديد لا يخلو من فائدة علمية وفكرية. يقوم هذا العمل على مبدأ أن دين الله تعالى واحد، منذ ان وطأ آدم (عليه السلام) قدميه الأرض، حين شرع بتبليغ أسرته بشريعة السماء، وقيمها العليا... ومن جاء بعده استمر في التبليغ والتبشير والنذير ... حتى وصل الأمر سيد المرسلين وخاتمهم في دعوته لكل الناس إلى الإسلام. وهذا ما يشير إلى مكانة النبي الأكرم عند الله تعالى، حيث أن الدين لم يختم إلاَ على يديه. من هنا تمكن يمكن القول: "إن هذه العقيدة (النبوَة)، والأصل الثاني بعد التوحيد، تمثل مشتركاً بين الأديان..." وعلى هذا تكون العقيدة حاجة فطرية ومشتركة بين الناس جميعاً، فلا يختص بدين الإسلام بقدر ما هي مشتركة بين كافة الأديان السماوية.
ولما كانت النبوة تمثل ركناً من اركان الدين، وضرورة من الضروريات التي أجمع عليها كل المذاهب اعتبرها المؤلف أصل يتعلق به مسائل على مستوى الإرث المشترك بين المدرستين: الشيعية والسنية، بمعنى أنه لة عرضت الأحاديث الواردة في النبوة سيتضح جلياً كيف أن المدرستين تمتلكان ميراثاً نفيساً ومهمَاً ومميزاً على اكثر من صعيد.
لذلك كله، جاء هذا العمل للإضاءة على الأحاديث المشتركة حول ما جاء في "النبوة" و"ما جاء في الأنبياء" عن طريق أهل السنة، وعن طريق الإمامية، وهي تكشف بوضوح أن دين الإسلام واحد وهذا ما يؤكده هذا الكتاب...
