لو اختصر الإسلام بكلمة، فقيل عنه: (يسر)، لكان حقاً، مصداقاً لقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: (إن هذا الدين يسر)، ولذا كان هذا المشروع، من خلال ثلاث سلاسل هي: أولاً، التراث الإسلامي المنسق، ثانياً، التراث الإسلامي المشجر، وهاتان السلسلتان تعالجان عدداً من مصنفات التراث الإسلامي، ثالثاً، العولم الإسلامية الميسرة، وتعالج عدداً من العلوم الشرعية، الهدف العام للمشروع: تيسير تناول العلوم الإسلامية، ومصنفاتها، وذلك بتسهيل طرق تحصيلها، بإختصار الجهد والوقت، الفئات المستهدفة من المشروع: أولاً: طلبة العلم المبتدئون: لتأسيس قواعد العلم في أذهانهم وربط مفاهيمه، وتزويدهم بثروة علمية تؤهلهم للتخصص لاحقاً، ثانياً، طلبة العلم المتقدمون، للتذكير والتنظيم، لا للتعليم، ثالثاً، المثقف غير المتخصص، الراغب في الحصول على فكرة مبسطة عن علم أو أكثر، دون توسع، ضوابط عمل المشروع: البعد عما يخالف الكتاب والسنّة، والنأي عن مواطن الخلاف، والتطلع الدائم للتطوير.
وهذا الكتاب يأتي ضمن سلسلة التراث الإسلامي المشجرة فقد وضع ابن هشام، عدداً من كتب النحو، منها: "متن قطر الندى ويل الصدى"، ثم قام ابن هشام بشرح هذا المتن في كتاب: "شرح قطر الندى وبل الصدى"، وقد يسر الله عزّ وجلّ أن يكون هذان الكتابان محل تنسيق وتشجير في: "مشروع تيسير العلوم الإسلامية"، ونتج عن ذلك الأعمال التالية: 1-"قطر الندى وبل الصدى، المنسق"، 2-"قطر الندى وبل الصدى، المشجر"، وهو هذا الكتاب الذي بين يديك الآن، 3-"شرح قطر الندى وبل الصدى، المنسق".
