موضوع الحب من الأهمية لدرجة أن لابلاس الفيلسوف الشهير عندما حضرته الوفاة اجتمع لديه أصدقائه ومعارفه الذين أرادوا تعزيته بشهرة كتبه وإكتشافاته لكنه أجابهم: "إن هذه الأمور ليست كل شيء في الحياة" فلما سألوه: "وإذن ما هو أهم شيء في الحياة؟" أجابهم لابلاس في نزعته الأخيرة: "إنه الحب".
خلال عملي إبتداءً من كوني أخصائية نفسية وثم معالجة نفسية لمدة 15 سنة في أماكن مختلفة، وأيضاً الرسائل التي تصلني من مختلف الدول العربية شمالاً وجنوباً وشرقاً وغرباً، رأيت أن أكثر مشكلة يعاني منها الناس وخصوصاً النساء هو موضوع الحب.
ولا فرق في ذلك بين فتاة في الرابعة عشرة من العمر أو سيدة تجاوزت الخمسين، أو متزوجة وغير متزوجة أو ملتزمة دينياً أو غير ملتزمة أو متعلمة ومثقفة وذات درجات علمية عالية أو متواضعة في التعليم، أو لديها مكانة مرموقة في المجتمع أم دون أي إنجاز يُذكر.
