من هنا يأتي كتاب "مبادئ إدارة المشارع وتحليل الجدوى" ليقدم بأسلوب مبسط المبادئ والخطوات الأساسية لكيفية إدارة المشاريع، ويكون دليلاً يأخذ بيد الراغبين في تطبيق هذا الحقل من حقول الإدارة في أعمالهم ومشاريعهم.
يتكون كتاب مبادئ إدارة المشاريع وتحليل الجدوى من أربعة أقسام، ويشكل القسم الأول منها مدخلاً لإدارة المشاريع، ويتكون من خمسة فصول تتحدث عن: إدراك أهمية هذا الحقل، وتنظيم إدارة المشروع بكفاية، وأدوار مدير وفريق المشروع، وأدوار العملاء والزبائن وأصحاب المصالح، ونظام التخطيط والرقابة.
أما القسم الثاني الذي يتكون من عشر فصول، ويدور حول تخطيط المشروع، فيتحدث عن كيفية تحديد المشروع، وهيكلية تجزئة العمل، وتقدير الأنشطة وترتيبها تسلسلياً، وحساب المسار الحرج، وإعداد الجداول الزمنية، وخطط الموارد، وخطط الموازنة، والحصول على الموافقات وصياغة عقد المشروع، وتخطيط عملية الرقابة.
ويتكون القسم الثالث الذي يتحدث عن تنفيذ المشروع من سبعة فصول، تدور حول: البدء بالمشروع، والرقابة عليه من حيث الوقت والمجال والموارد والمجال، وإعداد التقارير الخاصة بأهداف المشروع، والرقابة على التغييرات المُحدَثة، وتقييم الأداء، وإدارة المخاطر، وإغلاق المشروع.
وأخيراً، فإن القسم الرابع، الذي خُصِص للحديث عن قيادة فريق المشروع، يتكون من ثمانية فصول تتحدث عن: تشكيل فريق المشروع، وإدارة الصراع، والإتصال الفاعل، والإجتماعات الفاعلة، وصنع القرارات الجماعية، ومصادر القوة، وإدارة التغيير، وإدارة الأداء.
