يتحدث المؤلف في هذا الكتاب عن التربية البيئية وعن دور المنهج والمعلم في إكساب السلوك البيئي، وبعد ذلك يتوقف عند المعايير السلوكية البيئية في التربية الرياضية المدرسية، مفصلاً الحديث عن التأهيل القيادي لمعلمي التربية الرياضية في التربية البيئية، وبعد ذلك ينتقل إلى تقديم برنامج يقترحه للتربية البيئة في محاولة منه لتعديل اتجاهات طلاب كلية التربية الرياضية نحو البيئة، كما ويقترح برنامجاً آخر للتربية البيئية محدداً مدى تأثيره على السلوك الصحي لتلاميذ الثانوي العام، أما البرنامج الثالث والأخير الذي يقترحه فهو فخصص لتلاميذ التعليم الأساسي وهو يختص بالحركات التعبيرية. أما الموضوع الرابع الذي يتطرق له في الكتاب فكان المقاييس البيئية وهنا قدم تطبيقات نظرية حول هذا الموضوع وخصصها لتلميذات الحلقة الأولى من التعليم الأساسي ولطلاب كلية التربية الرياضية.
