إن هذا التراث الإسلامي هو ثمرة جهود لعلماء مخلصين وأئمّة مجتهدين، أنفقوا جهدهم ووقتهم في العكوف على دراسة وتقرير أحكامه، وهو دليل إهتمام وتقدير وجهد ليس له نظير، يعكس ما حظي به هذا الشرع الحنيف من عناية ودراسة وحفظ وصيانة.
وعلى ضوء ما تقدّم، فهذا نَصّ نادر من هذا التُّراث يُنشر لأوّل مرّة، لعَلَم من أعلام الغَرب الإسلامي، ومَفْخرة من مفاخر القُطر الجزائري، الشَّيخ الإمام محمد بن عبد الكريم المغيلي التّلمساني المتوفى سنة 909هـ.
وقد قسم الكتاب إلى قسمين: القسم الأول: خصّص لترجمة المؤلف: نبذة موجزة عن عصره، اسمه ونسبه، نشأته ورحلاته، شيوخه، تلاميذه، ثَناء العلماء عليه، ووَفاته مع إحصاء شامل لمؤلفاته المطبوع منها والمخطوط والمفقود، أما القسم الثاني خصص لتحقيق كتاب مصباح الأرواح في أصول الفلاح.
