لقد حملت الكتب السماوية في طيّاتها تشريعات جمّة لإصلاح النظام الإجتماعي والدفع به نحو الأمام، وضم القرآن الكريم بين دفتيه عصارة تلك الكتب، وأضاف إليه من التشريعات ما أوصلها لكمالها، لتتمّ حركة التغيير الإجتماعي على أكمل وجه، وتؤسّس لقيام المجتمع الصالح والأمّة (الوسط) التي هي خير الأمم.
وإلى جانب هذا الكتاب التدويني المقدس وما يشتمل عليه من تشريعات تدفع بعملية التغيير الإجتماعي نحو الأصلح على الإطلاق، فقد جعل الله تعالى لنا هذا الكون والكتاب التكويني الطبيعي متحركاً غير ساكن، ومتغيراً بشكل دائم، لنبرز من خلال حركته المستمرّة كمالاتنا، فسرّ العظمة في النظام الكوني تكمن في ديمومة حركته والتي من خلالها يصل كل شيء فيه إلى أقصى ما يستحقّه من درجات.
وقد جعل الله تعالى لكل شيء فلكه الذي يسبح فيه، وحركته الكونية التي ينشط فيها الأمر الذي يثبت لنا أنّ نظام هذا الكون مبني على التغيير والتغيّر المستمرّين، فلا اسم ولا رسم فيه لشيء يدعى ثباتاً، بل كل شيء فيه متحرك ومتغير ويمرّ بأطواره المختلفة، ومراحله المتميّزة.
في هذا الكتاب دراسة تحليلية مقارنة مرتبطة بالتغيير الإجتماعي إبتداها المؤلف بتعريف التغيير ونظرة الفلاسفة والعقائد والأديان له، ومن ثم إنتقل إلى المقارنة بين ما قدّمه من رؤى مع النظريّة الإسلامية، ليخلص إلى رؤية قرآنية شاملة توضّح لنا ماهية التغيير والعوامل المؤثرة فيه، لنستعين بها على إيجاد المجتمع الصالح والحياة الكريمة لأبناء أمتنا.
