يضيء الكاتب على المسائل عدم في فن التصوير منذ اختراع الصورة في بداية القرن التاسع عشر وأهم أعلامها "نيبس وداغير" والفرنسي "بايار وتالبوت" ومع مرور الزمن أدى التصوير الشمسي إلى ولادة السينما في السبعينات من القرن التاسع عشر على يد الفرنسي "ماراي والأميركي مويبردج" ثم تطورت الآلات بفعل التطور التكنولوجي نجد تفصيلاً رائعاً عن هذا في هذا الكتاب الشيق الذي يضيء على مراحل عدة في فن التصوير وصولاً إلى تأثيره في علم الفلك والطب واستخدامه في المستشفيات، حيث أول خدمة تصويرية ابتكرت في باريس عام 1882 مستعملة التصوير الشمسي للأشياء الصغيرة للغاية.
