في زحمة المشاغل، وتجاذب الأهواء، والغفلة عن حتمية الموت، وقرب الرحيل، والركض المتواصل وراء سراب الدنيا الزائلة تنعدم القيم، وينسى الإنسان نفسه، فضلاً عن نسيان أصحاب الحقوق عليه.
ولكن ما لا يصح له أن ينساه هو أن في بر الوالدين النماء والزيادة والتوفيق والتسديد، وإطالة العمر ودخول الجنة.
وفي عقوقهما الذلة والبوار، والهوان والاستئصال وبتر الأعمار ودخول النار. فذكر الوالدين لا ينبغي أن ينسى بحال من الأحوال.
هذا ما يعلمنا إياه إمامنا زين الدين العابدين عليه السلام في دعائه لوالديه حيث يقول: "اللهم لا تنسني ذكرهما في أدبار صلواتي وفي إنى من آناء ليلي، وفي كل ساعة من ساعات نهاري".
ففي زمان القائل فيه بالحق قليل واللسان عن الصدق كليل تبدو الحاجة ماسة إلى من يذكر بضرورة الالتفات إلى ذلك، فإن أكثر حالات العقوق منشؤها الجهل المركب بحقوق الآباء والأمهات وضرورة الإحسان إليهم، وكذلك الآثار الخطيرة الناتجة عن عقوقهم والإساءة إليهم ولو بكلمة تأفف، أو نظرة ماقتة لا تخلو من سوء.
وهذا ما حاولت "فاطمة الخويلدي" أن توضحه في كتابها هذا بقالب أدبي بديع، ممزوج بجملة من النصوص والروايات عن أهل البيت عليهم السلام، وملامسة في ذلك الواقع الفاسد الذي يعيشه عدد كبر من شريحة الشباب والشابات.
