واكب الفكر العلمي العربي مؤخراً الركب العالمي، برغم أن الدراسات الفكرية فيه ما زالت منشغلة بالآراء الميتافيزيقية والإيديولوجية أكثر من اهتمامها بمسائل العلم والمعرفة، في الوقت الذي نحن فيه بأمس الحاجة إلى التكنولوجيا، من أجل تحديث العقل العربي وتنمية الوطن العربي، والارتفاع بمثقفينا إلى المستوى الذي يمكنهم من أن يعيشوا عصرهم، عصر العلم والتكنولوجيا، ويساهموا في تشييد حضارة عربية جديدة...
نقدم هذا البحث الذي يعالج قضايا المعرفة والعلم في الفكر المعاصر. وقد دفع إلى اختياره الاهتمام الزائد بالأبحاث والراسات الابستيمولوجية التي تتجاوز المسائل الميتافيزيقية والإيديولوجية في آن.
وقد جعلت البحث في سبعة فصول: عرّفت في الفصل الأوّل (الأبستيمولوجيا)، وعرضت في الفصل الثاني (تصنيف العلوم)، وفي الفصل الثالث أوضحت (فلسفة المعرفة) عند بوانكاري وباشلار، وفي الفصل الرابع بيّنت (فلسفة العلم)، وفي الفصل الخامس عرضت (لمناهج البحث العلمي)، وفي الفصل السادس عرّفت (بتطوّر الفكر العلمي في الفيزياء)، وفي الفصل السابع أوّضحت (تطوّر الفكر الرياضي).
آملاً أن يجد فيه المثقفون العرب ما يثير إهتمامهم بهذا الحقل المعرفي الجديد.
